Blake was a Silicon Valley native before we hired him to be our Southern Arizona lead in November 2017. Blake will joke that he was born doing fiber optics, but actually it’s true. He has worked with many different aspects of Fiber Optic cabling since he was a child. This experience and knowledge of fiber optics grew naturally into the world of Network Engineering. However, he did not stay in the office and has applied his skills in construction as well. He was the Project Manager and Construction Foreman for a Fiber installation company in San Jose, CA. He later became the lead Network Engineer in the Fiber Optic division at an internet Service Provider in Palo Alto, California. He has been a consultant for companies like Verizon, Ericsson and Google. Blake has an awesome “can do” attitude and is always up for a challenge or getting creative to solve our customers’ issues every time. With his extensive and well-rounded background he is definitely one of a kind and an invaluable part of our Camnet team. Never satisfied to sit still, Blake keeps busy outside of work as well with building and car projects, gardening, spending time with his dogs, volunteering, and even studying the Russian language!
